What does is mean to thrive?

I’ve been thinking about the word thrive. It speaks to me of living well, of flourishing – like my garden now that I’ve fixed the irrigation system!

What does thrive mean to you?

The dictionary defines it as flourish, prosper, or progress towards a goal in spite of adverse circumstances.

Wouldn’t you like to do all of those? I’m definitely working on it!

Even though my garden irrigation is working well, there are some places that it doesn’t reach. Although it takes time and effort, I hand water those so they too can thrive. And I get the benefit of being outdoors, off my screen, and feeling good when it’s done, so I thrive a little more.

You can thrive in each area of life, so you might be thriving more strongly in one area than another. Stop and look at your life and see where you are doing well, feeling fulfilled and happy, and use these areas for inspiration and courage to keep growing. Also take note of which areas need more support and give them the extra attention needed for you to thrive there too so your life wheel doesn’t wobble!
